About Glico Sign
The Glico runner has stood by Ebisubashi since 1935. The present board is the sixth generation, LED instead of neon, switched on 23 October 2014. Chuo ward lists 20.00 m high by 10.38 m wide and about 143,976 LED chips. By day the runner sits on a track in relief. At night the background runs through Osaka and other cities. Chuo ward still prints lights 18:00-24:00. Ezaki Glico's 16 December 2014 notice set lighting from 30 minutes after sunset until 24:00. Photograph from Ebisubashi. Address 1-10-1 Dotonbori. The first tower was 33 m; wartime scrap took it down; later generations used neon, fountains, and Osaka landmarks. This is a sign. Do not type it as a mall.
