About This Event / イベントについて
Osaka City and Osaka Prefecture light Midosuji from Hanshin-mae to Namba-nishi, 3 November to 31 December 2026, about 17:00 to 25:00. The street is 4 km. This page is the south end you walk from Dotonbori: South Area 2, Namba intersection to Namba-nishi intersection, main colour white plus five-colour mix. South Area 1, water-city blue mix, is the next block north, around Midosuji-Mitsuderamachi to Namba. Still Minami. Not Kita.
Do not use this page for Umeda. North Area candle trees, the Umeda intake tower, Kita-mido interactive art, and OSAKA Hikari Renaissance on Nakanoshima sit on other maps. The 23 November lighting ceremony, 17:00-19:00, is Yodoyabashi to Senba-chuo 3, after Midosuji Runway. Rain goes ahead; severe weather cancels. That ceremony is not Namba-nishi.
Glico Sign on the canal is a separate, year-round light. Tombori River Walk has not announced a 2026-27 "light and water" season; the last printed run ended 15 February 2026. Walk Midosuji from Ebisu-bashi west one block, then south to Namba-nishi. Free. No ticket. Night markets on three Midosuji areas are still undated on the city press of 24 September 2026.

Stand at Namba-nishi, not Osaka Station. The candle section is Umeda.
立つなら難波西口。大阪駅側のキャンドルではない。
23 Nov pedestrian lighting is Yodoyabashi to Senba-chuo 3. Skip it if you came for Namba.
11月23日の歩行者開放は淀屋橋〜船場中央3。難波目的なら行かない。
Glico Sign is a different light, every night, on the canal.
