EMPRESS ROOM is the Cantonese restaurant on the 10th floor of Swissotel Nankai Osaka, the hotel that rises above Nankai Namba station. Under chef Leow Leong Hock and dim sum chef Fu Wei Wei - 20 years in the craft - it offers a rotating seasonal menu of Cantonese favourites built around fresh Japanese produce. The signature is the Yum Cha dim sum buffet, with a roving trolley (teoi ce) that evokes traditional Chinese teahouses, plus an a la carte menu, seasonal set menus and four private rooms for business and family gatherings. Lunch and dinner service both run daily, with takeaway available.
