Kazuyoshi Yamanaka
The recommended sake changes every week. Some of the staff can be a little unpleasant, but the selection is good.

Liquorshop GrandCercle is a specialist alcohol retailer on the basement second floor of Daimaru Shinsaibashi's main building, set within the department store's renovated food hall. The name "Grand Cercle" nods to the "great circle" motif of the Daimaru group, and the shop is operated by Daimaru Kogyo, which directly imports wine from Europe and beyond to the exacting standards of a department store. The lineup spans imported and Japanese wine, sake, shochu, whisky and brandy, with an emphasis on curated, giftable bottles. A standout feature is the eat-in option: bottles purchased in the shop can be opened and drunk on the premises for a glass fee, with wines served by the glass from a Funvino wine server and sake poured from a dedicated server for magnums and ichigo bottles. Staff include sommelier- and senior-sommelier-qualified members who can advise on pairings with dishes bought from the surrounding food hall, making it a relaxed spot for a mid-shop drink. Tax-free service is available on the ninth floor of the main building and fourth floor of the south building. Whether you are after a serious bottle to take home, a gift sake for a friend, or a glass of wine to enjoy with your food hall finds, GrandCercle combines expertise and convenience in equal measure. Its position inside Daimaru Shinsaibashi makes it a natural stop on any Shinsaibashi shopping route.
