大丸心斎橋店8階にある、高岡の真鍮・錫製品を販売するNOUSAKU直営店です。
NOUSAKU Daimaru Shinsaibashi is a direct store of Nousaku Corporation, a celebrated metalcraft maker founded in 1916 in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture, a city with a 400-year tradition of copper and brass casting. The shop sits on the eighth floor of the Daimaru Shinsaibashi main building, one of Osaka's most historic department stores, directly connected to Shinsaibashi Station via an underground passage. Nousaku is renowned for pushing the boundaries of traditional casting, working with brass, bronze and 100 per cent pure tin to create tableware, vases, interior objects and Buddhist altar items. The Daimaru store marked its fifth anniversary in 2024 with limited-edition pieces and special sets, reflecting a loyal local following. Visitors can find signature items such as the flexible sable tin trays that bend by hand, the Sorori single-flower vases with their characterful patina, and an array of chopstick rests, sake cups and homewares that make elegant souvenirs. The store also hosts regular workshops and craftsman demonstrations, including personalised keyring stamping and live tin-tray shaping events. For those seeking beautifully crafted, distinctly Japanese metalwork gifts or homewares in a premier department-store setting, NOUSAKU at Daimaru Shinsaibashi offers a refined and authentic destination in the heart of the shopping arcade.
