PAPABUBBLE is a craft candy theatre born in Barcelona, with its Daimaru Shinsaibashi store located on the basement first floor of the Daimaru department store at 1-7-1 Shinsaibashisuji. This branch is notably the only PAPABUBBLE store in the Kansai region to feature live candy-making performances, where artisans craft each piece by hand in front of customers. The candies are made by pouring 160-degree sugar onto an iron plate, cooling it, colouring it, cutting and kneading it to incorporate air for a smooth melt-in-the-mouth texture, with some featuring embedded letters and patterns such as the popular "THANK YOU" design. The store offers more than 20 flavours, with seasonal and regional limited-edition candies featuring local specialities and dialects that make excellent souvenirs. The product range extends beyond hard candies to include gummies, chocolate confections and gift sets, with an original label order service that prints custom images onto candy packaging for weddings and events. The brand describes itself as "the world's most fun sweet shop," and the theatrical production process is as much a draw as the sweets themselves.
