About This Event / イベントについて
31 October 2026 is a Saturday. People will still walk Dotonbori in costume around Ebisu-bashi and the Glico Sign. There is no organiser and no city page that licences street drinking that night. OSAKA-INFO files Osaka Halloween under pop culture, not under a managed matsuri. In 2025 it rained hard and police tightened the cordon. Treat the canal as an unmanaged crowd, not as a festival you can plan around.
The managed daytime maps sit south of the canal. Minami Fes 2026 holds Namba Square 10:00-20:00. Chuo ward calls the Saturday 11:00 block Minami's daytime Halloween. That is a stage programme. Namba Soto Fes Vol.5 holds the carnival mall between Parks and CITY 11:00-17:00. CHIMNEY TOWN already left the square on 18 October. acosta on the canal was 17-18 October, not this Saturday.
If you photograph people in costume, ask. The street is not a set. Eat before 18:00; Hozenji and Kuromon close earlier than the neon. This page keeps one canal photograph. It does not pretend to be a licensed night.

For a programme with a start time, go to Namba Square or Carnival Mall in daylight.

Ask before photographing costumes. The street is not a studio.
仮装を撮る前に聞く。通りはスタジオではない。
Do not expect toilets, cloakrooms, or a lost-child desk on the canal.
運河にトイレもクロークも迷子センターもない。
Rain in 2025 emptied the street. Have an indoor plan (NGK needs a FANY ticket).
